Networking Is Everthing
In telecommunications it’s like in communication in general: the connection and the network are everything! With its membership in the SCTE (Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers), the leading Europe-wide association for broadband professionals, TRIAX benefits from the exchange and cooperation in an excellent network. This allows for cost-effective and efficient solutions to be tailored even better to the needs of the market and customers now and in the future, true to the motto “Connecting the Future”!
The missing link in network deployment
Due to the massive expansion of fibre optic networks, broadband provision has reached a high level of dynamism. Broadband expansion offers huge potential for nationwide coverage and TRIAX wants to contribute to ensuring that every resident can also benefit from the higher bandwidths.
In practice, however, it is often the last few meters from the transfer point to the individual flats that present a major challenge. Older residential buildings in particular do not always offer the structural conditions to install completely new cabling, or they are even listed buildings. Too high costs also regularly make it difficult to distribute the bandwidths to the individual flats without further ado.
TRIAX’ solution, which is as simple as it is efficient, uses the existing coaxial cables (TV cables) to bridge the path from the main transfer point to the individual flats at low cost. So that FTTB (Fibre to the Building) then really becomes FTTH (Fibre to the Home)!
Gigabit to all in MDUs
This is made possible by the so-called EoC or Ethernet over Coax solution, which is based on G.hn technology. For this purpose, the lower, unused frequencies of 2 – 200 MHz are primarily used on the coaxial cable. This offers the advantage that the higher-frequency TV and radio signals can simply continue to be transmitted in parallel via the coaxial cable. In this way, data rates of up to 1.6 Gbit/s and a low latency of less than 1 ms can be realised. In addition, G.hn Quality Diagnostics can be used to monitor and graphically display the transmission quality up to the end point. A decisive advantage: all this works without major construction measures and with a comparatively significantly lower budget for implementation.
