Basic

Basic training.

Basic training is an online webinar, and it is free of charge. After signing up for the seminar, you will by email receive a link to the webinar. During the presentation you can write your questiuons to the moderator, and after the presentation there will be a live session with questions and answers.

What you learn

Duration: approximately ½ hour followed by a Q&A session.

The course will introduce you to the TDX Headend.

Intermediate

Intermediate training

Intermediate training is a hands-on technical training. Training will be a combination of theory and practical hands-on tryouts. The TDX Intermediate training is scheduled for one full day. You will be provided more details when you sign up.

What you learn

The course will give you the knowledge needed to install a TDX system and configure the input and output modules in a typical setup.

The course will cover the setup, input modules, common interface and output modules including:

  • System Administration
    • The system setup including Time settings, Licenses, IP settings and system maintenance.
    • Hands on exercises
  • Input modules
    • DVB-S/S2, DVB-T/T2, DVB-C, AV and HDMI-in configuration
    • Hands on exercises
  • Common Interface
    • Configuration of CAM
    • Hands on exercises
  • Output modules
    • PAL, COFDM, QAM and IP-out configuration
    • Hands on exercises
  • Network settings (DVB)
    • Network, EIT and LCN
    • Hands on exercises

The last part of the course will introduce you to the Triax online tools and the support portal including the HowTo / knowledge base :

Knowledge base

What you should know before attending

The training is technical and your prerequisite knowledge should be TDX BASIC or equivalent.

It is not needed that you have tried to set up and configure a system before, as you will learn this during the trainings hands on.

You have to bring your own laptop pc, as you have to log in to the network via Wi-Fi.

 

Advanced

Advanced training

Advanced training is a hands-on technical training. Training will be a combination of theory and practical hands-on tryouts. The TDX Intermediate training is scheduled for one full day. You will be provided more details when you sign up.

What you learn

The course will give you the knowledge to design and setup a TDX multi-unit system and how to use the more special/advanced settings.

The course covers: the planning/design phase and the “best practice” configuration:

  • Designing a TDX solution
    • My customer requirements, purchase the right parts, planning the channel setup
    • Design/Planning exercise and Hands on
  • Multi-unit system
    • How to setup a multi-unit system
    • Hands on exercise
  • Best practice
    • Planning the setup to reduce future operational issues

The course also covers some of the advanced features offered by the TDX:

  • Reset to default / clear corrupt configuration or license file
    • HowTo reset/clear a system
  • PID management
    • Filtering/Changing the PID’s
  • EIT
    • Handling EIT data (Barker Channel or from signal source)
  • SNMP
    • Using SNMP to monitor the TDX
    • Hands on exercise

In the last part of the course will introduce you to the Triax online tools and online HowTo / knowledge base :
